"White Christmas" was written by Irving Berlin for the 1942 movie "Holiday Inn" starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. The song won the Academy Award for best song in 1942. It went on inspire another movie, 1954's "White Christmas" starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen. "White Christmas" is one of the most performed Christmas songs of all time.
