Welcome to Hark! The Herald Banjo Rings 2012. We're looking forward to bringing you some great Christmas and Advent music this year. This year, we'll be posting a lot of new songs as well as some of the best recordings from previous years. Depending on how many recordings we receive, we're hoping to mostly post new songs for you to enjoy.

We are kicking off Hark! 2012 with a recording of Joy to the World by Lindsey Barlow. This is Lindsey's fourth year contributing songs to Hark! and I'm sure you all enjoy her singing as much as we do.

Lyrics

Joy to the world! the Lord is come:
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven and nature sing.

Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns:
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of His love.
