Hark! The Herald Banjo Rings
Christmas 2010
December 25
Merry Christmas, and thank you for another great year of Hark! The Herald Banjo Rings! We had some great performers this year, and I know I really enjoyed the music. Our final song of Hark! 2010 is "Angels We Have Heard on High" performed by the Barlow Family: Cheryl, Greg, Gwen, John, Liddy, Lindsey, and Logan (with a special appearance by Pippa at the end). Hark! will be back on Sunday, November 27, 2011, so until then, have a great year!

Angels We Have Heard on High
Performed by the Barlow Family: Cheryl Barlow on vocals, Greg Barlow on banjo and vocals, Gwen Barlow on vocals and bones, John Barlow on guitar, Liddy Barlow on tin whistle, Lindsey Barlow on ukulele and vocals, Logan Barlow on vocals, and introducing Pippa Barlow on vocals.
Angels we have heard on high,
Sweetly singing o'er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.
Refrain
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heavenly song?
Refrain
Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Refrain
See Him in a manger laid,
Whom the choirs of angels praise;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
While our hearts in love we raise.
Refrain
